Canadian Breweries Take 14 Medals at World Beer Cup 2022

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – The winners of the 2022 edition of the biannual World Beer Cup were announced last week as part of the Craft Brewers Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Presented by the Brewers Association, this year’s competition featured 10,542 beers from 2,493 breweries representing 57 countries.

Among the 103 style categories, Canadian breweries were honoured with 14 medals, including the following:

American-Style Amber/Red Ale
Gold – Rebellion Brewing – Amber Ale
Bronze – Torque Brewing – Red Line

Classic Saison
Gold – Amsterdam Brewing – Bord du Lac

English Ale
Silver – Parallel 49 Brewing – Craft Pale Ale

Experimental India Pale Ale
Gold – Mount Arrowsmith Brewing – The Sprut

Fruit Wheat Beer
Gold – Neighbourhood Brewing – Sunshine City

Fruited American-Style Sour Ale
Silver – Brewhall – Azedo Tropical Fruit Sour
Bronze – Whitewater Brewing – Blood Moon

German-Style Sour Ale
Silver – Hopfenstark Brewery – Berlin Alexanderplatz

Gluten-Free Beer
Bronze – Glutenberg – Glutenberg Session IPA

Honey Beer
Silver – Siboire – Braggot

Juicy or Hazy Pale Ale
Silver – 33 Brewing Experiment – Baby Azacca

Mixed-Culture Brett Beer
Bronze – Indie Alehouse – Saison du Rosska

Robust Porter
