WINNIPEG, MB – The winners of the 2022 edition of the Prairie Beer Awards, a new competition for breweries in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, were announced during a ceremony at Torque Brewing in Winnipeg this past weekend.
Regina’s Rebellion Brewing was named Brewery of the Year based on the success of its entries, which included Gold awards for Flanders Sour, Mega Lazer Cat Imperial Red, and Flora Borealis Gruit, and a Silver for Brown Ale.
Rebellion also took Gold and Silver in the Best of Show category with Mega Lazer Cat and Flora Borealis, while Little Brown Jug Brewing snagged Bronze with Winnipeg Folk Fest Lager.
The full list of winners across 22 beer categories plus awards for cider and mead are available online, and plans are already underway for Prairie Beer Awards 2023 to be held next year in Regina.
